I hate that he objectified Plath as "his muse" rather than viewing her as a talent in her own right. Also, I've read tons of interviews where he sounds like a right twat. And I don't feel the Birthday Letters redeemed any of what he did in the years after her death, or indeed while she was still alive.

How cruel is this world that fetishizes little girls and then acts annoyed when little girls try to figure out how to be sexy. Fuck that guy.
